Depeche Mode Party
Depeche Mode Party
The Depeche Mode Party is the late-night, club end of the festival programme: an evening given entirely to Depeche Mode and to the synth-pop and electronic music that grew up around the band.
Depeche Mode occupies an unusual place in Poland. Their following here has been large and loyal since the eighties, when the records circulated on copied tapes, and nights of this kind have been a fixture of Polish club life for decades rather than a novelty.
The evening starts after the concerts of the main programme have finished, which is deliberate: it gives the festival somewhere to go on to, and it keeps the city in motion through the night the festival is named for.
The venue and the starting hour are given in the programme section, along with the admission conditions for the club part of the programme.
