Horse Racing

A race day at the Wroclaw track is part of the festival programme. It is one of the items that take the audience out of the centre altogether, to the Partynice track in the south of the city.

Racing in Wroclaw is not an import for the occasion: the track has been part of the city's life for a long time, and a race day has its own audience, its own rhythm of the afternoon and its own crowd, quite separate from the concert-going one.

Placing it inside the festival works in both directions. Festival visitors get a day at the races, and the racing audience finds itself inside a cultural programme it would not otherwise have looked at.
